Prof. A. R. Boccaccini war Gastredner beim 13. European Symposium on Controlled Drug Delivery (ESCDD2014), das vom 16. bis 18. April 2014 in Egmond aan Zee, Holland, abgehalten wurde. Prof. Boccaccini gab eine der eingeladenen Vorträge in der Session zu „Bioactive Delivery for Tissue Engineering“. Der Titel der Präsentation war: „Bioactive scaffolds with drug delivery capability: progress and challenges“.
