Erfolg für Studentinnen
Herzlichen Glückwunsch an Deborah Desimone e Silva, die kürzlich ihre mündliche PhD Prüfung am Imperial College London bestanden hat. Der Titel ihrer PhD Arbeit ist: ‚Fabrication and characterisation of oxide fibre-reinforced glass matrix composites for optomechanical applications‘.
Sie wurde betreut von Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini und Prof. Bill Lee (Imperial College).
Deborah wird anschließend ab April 2011 an unserem Lehrstuhl als PostDoc arbeiten.
Ebenfalls Glückwünsche an Fatemehsadat Pishbin, PhD Studentin am Department of Materials, Imperial College London, UK, betreut von Prof. Boccaccini und Dr. M. Ryan. Sie hat den zweiten Preis für die Best Public Speaker Category beim Post-graduate Research Day gewonnen. Diese Veranstaltung fand am 21. März am Materials Department des Imperial College statt. Der Titel ihres Vortrags war: „Bioactive Orthopaedic coatings by Electrochemical Means: Development and characterisation“.
