Development of 3D printed scaffolds based on gelatin based hydrogels and bioactive glass nanoparticles

The project investigates the 3D printing of gelatin-based hydrogels (gelatin methacrylate, GelMA), and composite GelMA -bioactive glass nanoparticles, including Ag doped bioactive glass for developing antibacterial scaffolds for bone regeneration applications. The hydrogels are also enriched with phytotherapeutic agents. This research visit represents a research collaboration between AUTh and the FAU Institute of Bioamaterials.
