Advanced geopolymer matrix composites

Betreuer:  Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Aldo R. Boccaccini

Geopolymers (inorganic polymers) have gained academic and industrial interest as they can be synthesised from aluminosilicate wastes produced by several industries [1, 2]. However, for higher performance achievement, geopolymers have reported some limitations that impede their widespread commercial applications. Therefore, this research involves the study of novel geopolymer composites (e.g. fibre reinforced) with superior properties to be used in a wide range of innovative industrial applications (e.g. beyond building materials).
