Development of high-throughput 3D printed model for glioblastoma diseases
Collaborators: Dr. Rainer Detsch, Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini
This project, in collaboration with Prof Dr Carmen Villmann at the Institute of Clinical Neurobiology, University Hospital Würzburg, focuses on developing a high-throughput 3D printed model for glioblastoma diseases by printing dual-cross-linked hydrogel compartments containing neurons, astrocytes, and tumour cells with the objective of mimiking the native environment of neurons. The model will be used to simulate neuronal activity, cell migration, and to investigate drug resistance towards personalised medicine in a collaboration with the home institution (Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Faculty of Medicine & Health, University of Sydney, Australia).
