Development and characterisation of electrically conductive biopolymer systems

Kooperationspartner: Lisa Schöbel, Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini

This project focuses on the use of conducting polymers for different medical applications including biosensors, stents and neural electrodes. In particular, the part of the project being carried out in at the FAU Institute of Biomaterials involves the development and characterisation of natural polymers exhibiting electrical conductivity functionality. The present project is a collaboration between the FAU Institute of Biomaterials and Gdansk University of Technology, Laboratory of Functional Materials, Poland, and is being funded by a fellowship of the European Virtual Institute on Knowledge-based Multifunctional Materials (KMM-VIN) to Dr. Cysewska.
